ADI Remote Display Family

Easy-to-Read Remote Display

The ADI series of remote weight displays are easy to read at a distance, for applications such as vehicle scales, platform scales, crane scales, and more. With aluminum housings carrying IP56 ratings, ADI displays offer serious environmental protection, making them ready for long-term outdoor use. High brightness provides easy readability, even in direct sunlight or challenging conditions, at distances of up to 30 meters.

  • Traffic lights (optional)

Easily provide instructions to vehicles (manually or automatically) with optional traffic lights integrated into the weight display.

  • Wireless communication (optional)

For ultimate flexibility, choose a display with wireless communication, at distances up to 100 meters. Eliminate the need for conduit and communication cables with displays that are easily relocated.

  • Communication compatibility

The ADI series of remote displays are compatible with scale terminals equipped with serial data output. Automatic baud rate detection simplifies setup.

  • Durability

Aluminum alloy enclosures with special treatments for surface oxidation resistance provide reliable performance even in challenging outdoor environments. The ADI series is ready for long-term outdoor applications.

  • ADI Remote Displays

Optional traffic lights and wireless operation give the ADI series the flexibility needed to meet the needs of any application.

ADI Remote Display Family

Clear, bright weight information
The ADI remote display is a highly visible weight display for use with vehicle scales, floor scales, and other industrial weighing applications. It allows the weight to be seen by truck drivers and other personnel who are not near the scale terminal. Weights displayed by the three sizes of displays are easy to read at distances up to 75, 150, and 250 feet (22, 45, and 76 meters). The display’s light-emitting diodes (LEDs) display up to six characters, plus designators for weight units and gross/net weighing.

Rugged Design
The remote display has a durable enclosure made of powder-coated aluminum alloy. It is intended for use outdoors (in full sunlight or at night) and in harsh environments.

Wireless Option
Wireless communication between a scale terminal and remote display is available as an option. The unit’s transceiver sends a reliable wireless signal to a remote display up to one half mile away. This allows you to operate displays at greater distances from the scale house without runs of cable and conduit.

Optional Traffic Lights
The remote display can be supported with a built-in traffic light. The light switches from red to green, making it easy to use the remote display to regulate the movement of traffic over a scale.

Traffic Control Solutions

Does this look familiar?

When traffic backs up, it can be a headache for everyone.

For businesses with high volumes of truck traffic, ensuring a consistent flow is critical. Backups and long lines can mean lost business now and loss of repeat business for the future.

Fumbling with paperwork is one common cause of delays at the scale. Having the right data management software can help streamline the process from start to finish. Incorporating DataBridge™ with your truck scale can help control the flow of traffic and much more.

Additional products that can help to keep traffic moving smoothly:

  • Traffic lights
  • Inbound and outbound gates
  • Loop sensors

Truck Scale Foundations

Just like the foundation of a house, the foundation of a truck scale is an extremely important element to the over all longevity of the scale. It is the lowest load bearing part of the scale, and any imperfections can cause weighing errors and accelerated wear and tear. The vehicle scale experts at METTLER TOLEDO can help you determine which of the three variations of scale foundations is best for your business.

Pier Foundation:

  • Least Expensive
  • Piers support each load bearing point
  • Wash-out slabs sometimes included

Beam Slab Foundation:

  • Additional beams of concrete run the length and width of the scale
  • Stronger than pier style foundation

Pit Style Foundation:

  • Depth of pit varies per project and is often a custom solution
  • Must allow minimum depth for technician to access components beneath the  weighbridge
  • Can require additional care for cleaning as pit can collect debris
